TEER meters (transepithelial electrical resistance)

7 listings from 3 suppliers

TEER (transepithelial electrical resistance) is the electrical resistance across a cell monolayer grown on an insert membrane, and it shows how tightly the tight junctions between neighboring cells are closed. Permeability labs measure it before and after a Caco-2 or MDCK transport run to confirm the monolayer is intact. Buyers compare manual meters with handheld electrodes or fixed chambers, automated systems for 24- and 96-well HTS plates, and impedance instruments that keep measuring inside the incubator. This page lists the products we track and their makers.
