Privacy policy

Proglenth (the “Site”) handles users' personal information and access information in accordance with the following policy.

1. Information we collect

  • Information you provide when you contact us or sign up for the newsletter: the information you enter, such as your name, company name, email address and the content of your inquiry.
  • Access information: pages viewed, referring pages, browser and device type, IP address and similar information. This may be collected automatically through access analysis tools (such as Google Analytics) and cookies.

2. Purposes of use

  • To answer and contact you about your inquiries
  • To deliver the newsletter and provide related information
  • To understand how the Site is used and to improve its content
  • To respond to unauthorized access and similar incidents

3. Analytics, cookies and external transmission

The Site uses Google Analytics (provided by Google LLC) to understand how the Site is used. Google Analytics collects data using cookies. The data does not include information that identifies individuals, such as names or email addresses.

For visits from the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the Site does not set analytics cookies until you give consent. You can choose whether to consent in the notice shown at the bottom of the screen. Until you consent, Google still receives simple notifications that do not use cookies (such as the page viewed, the time, and the type of device and browser). These notifications contain no identifier that distinguishes one visitor from another.

Wherever you visit from, you can change your choice at any time from “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page. If you choose “Decline”, the Site will no longer measure your visits with cookies in that browser. Your choice is recorded inside that browser (in local storage). You can also disable cookies in your browser settings.

In addition, the Site uses one cookie of its own so that people who have signed up for the newsletter can download its guides. This cookie lasts one year and is not used for analytics. Saved articles and work in the design tools are recorded only inside your browser.

External transmission (information sent from your device to outside companies when you open a page)

When you open a page on the Site, information is sent from your device to the companies below. In line with the external transmission rules of Japan's Telecommunications Business Act (Article 27-12), we publish the recipient, the information sent and the purpose.

Google Analytics (access analysis)

  • Recipient: Google LLC
  • Information sent: the URL and title of the page viewed, the referring page, the date and time, IP address, device, OS and browser type, screen size, language setting, actions on the page (scrolling, reading an article to the end, the save, share and like buttons, clicks on external links, file downloads and similar), and the identifier stored in a cookie (if you have consented, or if you are visiting from a region where consent is not required)
  • Purpose: to understand how the Site is used and to improve its articles and tools
  • Handling by the recipient: Google Privacy Policy
  • How to stop it: choose “Decline” in “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any page, or use the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on

Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights (visit counts and page speed)

  • Recipient: Vercel Inc. (the provider of the Site's servers)
  • Information sent: the URL of the page viewed, the referring page, the date and time, IP address, device, OS and browser type, and measurements such as the time the page took to display
  • Purpose: to count visits and improve how fast pages display (no cookies are used)
  • Handling by the recipient: Vercel Privacy Policy

Google Fonts (font delivery, Japanese pages only)

  • Recipient: Google LLC
  • Information sent: IP address, browser type and the domain of the site being viewed (referrer)
  • Purpose: to display the fonts used for headings and Latin text (no cookies are used). The English pages serve their fonts from the Site itself and send nothing to Google for this.
  • Handling by the recipient: Google Privacy Policy

4. Provision to third parties

Except where required by law, the Site does not provide personal information to third parties without the consent of the individual concerned. However, the Site may entrust work to external services (such as email delivery providers and analytics providers) for delivery, analytics and responding to inquiries, and these services may handle information within the scope of that work.

5. Disclosure, correction and deletion of personal information

When an individual requests disclosure, correction, suspension of use or deletion of their personal information, the Site will confirm that the request comes from the individual concerned and respond promptly, within a reasonable scope. Please send requests through the contact form.

6. Disclaimer

The content of the Site is intended to organize general information as of the time of publication. We make efforts to keep the information accurate, but we cannot accept responsibility for the results of any decision or action based on the content. The Site is not responsible for the content of external sites that it links to.

7. Changes to this policy

This policy may be revised as necessary. If there is an important change, we will announce it on the Site.

8. Contact

For questions about this policy or about how personal information is handled, please contact us through the contact form.
