How do you show a supplier the single-use assembly you want built?
Single-use assembly drawing tool
Place bags, tubing, connectors and filters and join them up to make the first drawing you send to a supplier. The numbered drawing comes with a component list, a bill of materials, a requirements memo and an inquiry email, ready to print or save as PDF.
When to use itWhen you ask a supplier to build or quote a custom single-use assembly, a drawing with consistent part names and shapes tells them what you want far better than a paragraph of text.
1Place partsDrag bags or filters from the list on the left onto the drawing.
2Connect with tubingDrag from a part's port (○) to another port.
3Export the request packWrite the requirements memo, then print or save the drawing and BOM together as PDF.
This is not an engineering or manufacturing drawing. It is a concept drawing for requests, discussions and alignment. Confirm dimensions, materials, sterilization compatibility and pressure ratings with the supplier.

Before you ask
What to decide before you ask a supplier
Suppliers ask back about the same few items. Decide them before you start drawing and you cut the back-and-forth before a quote. These are the four to put on the drawing and in the requirements memo, in the order you connect things.
01
What each end connects to, and how
Specify the line from its two ends, not from the middle.

A TC (tri-clamp) fitting holds a gasket between two ferrules and is tightened with a clamp. Aseptic connectors from different series generally do not connect to each other, so write the counterpart equipment and its connector series in the remarks of the part at each end of the drawing.

Key pointWith the counterpart's series and type on the drawing, you don't find out on delivery that it won't connect.
02
Tubing ID × OD and length
Give tubing size as two numbers: inside diameter × outside diameter.
At the same 1/4 in ID, Sartorius Tuflux TPE comes in 3/8 in and 7/16 in OD. A different wall thickness can mean a different pump head.

Inside diameter of the tube that a 1.5 in TC fitting goes on
The 1.5 in of a TC fitting is a nominal size that refers to the outside diameter of the stainless tube it joins, not to the width of the flow path.

Validated gamma dose range for Merck Mobius
Silicone cures with heat, so it does not melt when heated again. With gamma irradiation capacity tight, many suppliers have added X-ray irradiation as an alternative. In an assembly irradiated at the factory, every component inside must withstand the same method and dose.

Key pointSettle the sterilization method in the requirements memo first and you avoid re-selecting parts later.
04
Documents and lead time
Documents and lead time are part of the specification too.

Extractables are substances that can migrate from a component into the liquid. USP <665> became official in May 2026. USP Class VI refers to the biological reactivity tests in USP <88>, which are separate from extractables assessment.

Making a request pack with this tool
1Pick a templateUnder "Start from a template", pick the closest drawing. If none fits, start from scratch.
2Place both endsPlace the end parts and note the counterpart equipment and connector series in the part's remarks.
3Add the tubingEnter the material, ID × OD and length. Inch sizes show the mm value alongside.
4Write the requirements memoEnter the use, process fluid, sterilization method, temperature conditions, requested delivery and quantity.
5Export the request packPrint or save as PDF the drawing, component list, bill of materials, requirements memo and inquiry email in one go.
What you enter is saved only in this browser and is never sent to Proglenth's servers. In a share link, the drawing sits after the “#” in the URL, which browsers do not send to the server. Part shapes are generic schematics and do not represent any specific product. To find who sells each part in Japan, see the supplier directory.
