Filter integrity testers check sterilizing-grade filters by diffusive flow or bubble point, before and after use, to assure sterility. Buyers match the test to the filter: diffusive flow and bubble point for liquid sterilizing and virus filters, water intrusion test for hydrophobic vent and gas filters. They then check data reliability (21 CFR Part 11 and audit trail) and whether the unit supports pre-use post-sterilization integrity testing (PUPSIT).
