Japanese name: 形質導入促進剤(トランスダクションエンハンサー)
Transduction enhancers are additive reagents that raise the efficiency of lentiviral and retroviral transduction, using poloxamers, cationic peptides, polymers and similar agents. They are used in gene transfer steps such as CAR-T manufacturing to raise vector copy number. Buyers consider low cytotoxicity, whether precoating is unnecessary so the reagent suits closed systems, and the availability of a GMP grade. Included are poloxamer and peptide enhancers, magnetic nanoparticles, fibronectin fragments and polybrene-type reagents.
