Design qualification (DQ)
DQ(設計時適格性評価)DQ (sekkeiji tekikakusei hyōka)
The first stage of qualification: documented verification, before equipment is built or delivered, that the proposed design and specifications meet the user requirement specification and GMP needs. It is a desk review, usually matching each user requirement to the supplier's functional and design specifications. A vague user requirement specification leaves DQ with nothing firm to check the design against. Design gaps found at DQ are cheap to fix compared with the same gaps found at installation or operational qualification.
