Installation qualification (IQ)
据付時適格性評価suetsukeji tekikakusei hyōka
Also written IQ(据付時適格性評価)
Documented verification that equipment or a system has been delivered, installed and configured according to the approved design and the manufacturer's specifications: the right components and materials of construction, utility connections, calibrated instruments, drawings and manuals. In the V-model used for qualification and computerized system validation, IQ corresponds to the design specification. It comes before operational qualification. Japanese documents use the abbreviation IQ as often as the Japanese name. PIC/S Annex 15 allows some checks done at the factory acceptance test to count toward IQ where this is justified and transport and installation do not affect them.
