Surface viable microorganisms
Also called surface monitoring
付着菌fuchakukin
Viable microorganisms on surfaces such as equipment, walls, floors and gloves, measured with contact plates pressed onto flat surfaces or with swabs for irregular ones, and reported as colony-forming units per plate or per area. Glove prints taken from operators after aseptic interventions belong to this category. Japanese EM reports list surface results separately from airborne and settle plate results.
