Autologous
自家(autologous)jika (autologous)
Using the patient's own cells: they are collected, processed and returned to the same patient, so each patient is one batch. Rejection and graft-versus-host disease are not major concerns, but the model brings patient-specific scheduling, variable starting material, a chain of identity from collection to infusion and limited economies of scale. Japanese documents use the native term, meaning 'self', together with the English word.
